[Retelling] Serene Grace (Jenna and the Legendary Shaymin)

This is a retelling of an unfished fan fiction. The original was written by Shaychu's truely, Kass! Very Happy

I decided to re-write it from my own point of view, and since it would end up being a completley different story, I renamed it aswell, to 'Serene Grace'. So, Here's 'Serene Grace'

*Ding* The automatic door chimed as Jenna walked inside. "Hello, Mr. PokeMart Man Sir? Anyone here?". A tall man with walked out from behind some crates labeled "Repels". "Yes little lady, how can I help you?" 'Little Lady...', Jenna thought. She had always been small for her age. She was even born premature, which may have had something to do with her miniscule size. "Yes sir..", she spit through her teeth, "I'd like to buy five potions." She thought hopefully, but knew deep in her mind what he was going to say...

"Ha! Why do you need potions, you're too young to be a trainer. What are you anyway, six years old?" "I'm thirteen thank you very much!". She was actually only twelve, but she wasn't going to give him the satisfaction. "Pssh. Nice try kid. I only sell to trainers."

Jenna growled low, "I CHALLENGE YOU TO A BATTLE. IF THAT DOESN'T PROVE I'M A TRAINER, I DON'T KNOW WHAT DOES!". The store owner smirked, "Fine. It's just your big brothers or sisters pokemon anyway. You probably dont even know how to battle!"

"Fine! Since you think I'm so weak, let's make it insterting.", Jenna's eyebrow rose to the middle of her forehead, and she softly grinned. Since nobody ever believed her when she was telling the truth, she'd challenge them to battles, and prove them wrong. "If I win, I get those five potions free, but if you win, I'll pay you the money, without you giving me anything!" "YOU'RE ON KID!"

Together they ran outside, the automatic door dinging again.

Jenna lifted her leg as if she was going to pitch a baseball. "ROSEBUD, I CHOOSE YOU!". The PokeBall flung threw the air, and landed sharply on the bright grass, and a Roserade popped out. The man snickered, "Go, Bibarel".

Both of the pokemon looked equally challenging. "ROSEBUD, TOXIC SPIKES!", Jenna cried. Purple Spikes oozing smog were tossed under Bibarel's feet. "Bibarel, Headbutt!", the man ordered. Bibarel leaned forward and dashed for Rosebud, getting a Toxic Spike stuck in his foot in the meantime. Rosebud dashed back a little bit, in an attempt to avoid the oncoming beaver, but it was unsuccesful. "Rosebud, use Razor Leaf!" Dozens of leaves rose above the ground and chared at Bibarel. He came back looking somewhat-affected, with cuts on his chest. "Bibarel, time for the secret weapon. Use Hyper Fang!", as the man smiled slyly. Bibarel sprinted foward, and literally bit Rosebud. Rosebud fell to the ground, she was almost out of the match. "Rosebud.. time for our secret weapon." She laughed demonically, "HIDDEN. POWERRRRRRR!!!!!". Rosebud's eyes glowed a bright red. She then used her arm-petals to gather energy. Rosebud then blasted the large ball of energy at Bibarel, knocking him out of the match. "NOO! YOU'RE JUST SOME KID!"

Before the man even had time to deny his defeat, Jenna had already ran back into the PokeMart and got her five poitions. "Told ya I was thirteen", she spoke confidently. She then recalled Rosebud to her PokeBall and left the man, on his knees in defeat.
