Pokemon Teams- On Favs, Transferring & X and Y talk

Okay so I'm feeling like I'm at a bit of a cross-roads when it comes to my teams- I hate that I can't just trade back and fourth over the generations and I'd like to know what some of you guys did for your teams and regarding moving any of your favourite pokemon from a gen 4 game to a gen 5 game...

I really feel like I want to have one single solid team, but I have favourites in my soul silver game and favs in my B or W2... And I'm not ready to let them go from SS because it's my favourite game, but pokemon will only be moving on (obvioulsy) and if I don't move them into newer games then there could come a point where I don't use some of them at all...

SS was my favourite mainly because there's so many places (2 regions duh) and the fact that your pokemon walk behind you (its nbd but i love that feature). There's still talk about what might or not be included in the upcoming X and Y games but if they implement thay feature or any other amazing features (to possibly make it my new favourite) I'd probably have no problem transferring over my gen 4 pokemon...

Anyways- (if any of you see this) tell me what you think regarding transferring in general, features you look forward to hopefully seeing in X and Y, and whether or not you made that personal choice to transfer over some or all of your favourite pokemon from your gen 4 games to your gen 5 games- and if you would do it again..?

Ps: I put this in team biulding but it has some general topic related stuff. Im on my phone right now so I don't think I can move it over but feel free to if it doesn't belong here.

I've never had this problem because I just trade all my Pokemon to the newer games (after renaming some of them) and then store the old cartridges indefinitely. In terms of new XY features, I'm hoping, perhaps futilely, for the old contests of RSE, since those were the only ones that made sense to me. how do you dress up pokemons i am not good with clothes

I've also never played HG/SS so I don't have much of a concern with the two regions thing. They should do the whole can't-trade-from-old-generations thing again for the new games, just for kicks.

Yeah I'm mostly torn since I love hgss so much but I guess I see how you see it since you move them over right away. I'm seriously considering moving them over...
