Professor Section?

Could we have a section for the professors?
Maybe I'm missing something and it goes under another topic already out there...but the Professors could help new members learn how to battle, breed, and train better so that when they get to 100 post(I think is the rule is 100+ post to apply for a gym...plus another section for them to post would aide them in their post count).
As for what would actually be posted, I saw in the archives some professors gave out starters a while back, they could also teach newer members tips/tricks about battles, breeding, training, ect.

Chances are, I will make a Professors section sometime soon. I just don't know when. I still have to make entry questionnaires for others to become Professors.

The Spam Central section already aids new users a lot, since spam is the name of the game there. Well, to a certain extent. If I can figure out how to make posts there not count, that would be glorious, but until then...

I don't think I'm interested in having professors giving out starters. I'll think about it and I'll get back to you on that. The tips/tricks thing seems to be the most likely, though.

Archives showed they did that in the past, but if your down on that then no need to bring it back.

I can work out something by myself! Eventually. Maybe. Probably not any time soon.

I know that Professors used to do that in the past, but we're essentially reviving the Professors group now and I really want to do something different.

I just...haven't thought of anything yet.

I think that to seriously bring back the prof section or group the people being professors need to be able to do somthing that normal users can't- for their games maybe? Probably need to be REEAAALLLY knowledgable about anything pokemon related and maybe even actually have EVERY POKEMON and be willing to help people out like trading them a pokemon they need if they need it. Like seriously take on the role that a professor would xD maybe even try (somehow) to experiment with the games or things you can do with the games and share your findings

It all sounds slightly cheesey but if you wanted to bring back the prof's i think you'd have to go almost all out because they need to have something that sets them apart

I am considering that they have to be really knowledgeable. Problem is, I don't know what exactly being "knowledgeable" would mean from a Professor's standpoint, especially with search engines providing all the answers necessary to solve the questionnaires I've had planned. So I'm still thinking up a solution. As I just said, input is always welcome.

Yes, I know, but I can't think of anything other than, I don't know, handing out Shaycoins and managing free shops or something in that vein! It's so hard to think of things on such a limited platform, and even harder to think of things that are unique to our forum.

I might consider making Professors a part of an ongoing forum-wide RPG, but I have no idea how I'd do that without making the forum seem really silly and kiddy. Or, if I base it off of my personal interpretation/re-imagining of Shaychu, how I'd do that without making the forum seem ridiculously bleak and over-the-top. (As an example of the latter option: I have a severe case of multiple-personality disorder, Bibarel's legally insane, Shay's barely holding the site together with duct tape and superglue, Ash's mental state is long gone, Ace is too busy living out fantasy lifestyles with ponies, David's gone absolutely mad and has attempted to murder everyone, Weavile's corpse is collecting dust in front of the door. So. Yeah. Bad idea.)

In terms of the forum, there really isn't much I have to work with without giving power away like some sort of mad geriatric in a rickety box. I'd really rather not be that, either. Well, not yet, anyway. I'm not that old!
