Noobie much? Empty Noobie much?

Post by Zak Mon Nov 23, 2009 3:57 pm

Well here's a team I just made it so yeah, just rate it I guess xD.

Aerodactyl (Jeffery) Jolly @ Focus Sash
Stealth Rock
Earthquake
Taunt
Stone Edge

Yeah, you know the original set up stealth rock then commit a sin lead. All I have to say really.

Espeon Modest @ Choice Scarf/specs
Psychic
Signal Beam
Shadow Ball
Trick

This little cat hits as hard as it can especially if it has choice specs on. And if I have any problem with Blissey or such I can always trick to give them my choice scarf/specs to create a problem for them. Signal beam mainly is for darks who take shadow ball well, and slap psychic in the face.

Scizor Adamant @ Life Orb/Leftovers
Bullet Punch
Swords Dance
Brick Break
Roost

Mainly I want to switch this guy into something that I can switch out and go for the Swords Dance to try and attempt a sweep. And if the attack that hits him is only going to 3 or 4 hit ko him, I will simply go for roost to recover some hp. Brick break for steels mainly, and of course every scizor needs bullet punch.

Lucario Adamant @ Life orb
Extreamespeed
Swords Dance
Close Combat
Blaze Kick

This guy is just epic once he gets swords dance. Though unfortunetly he gets ruined by many pokemon. But anyways swords dance on a switch then hope to sweep with extreamespeed for fragile pokemon and close combat and blaze kick for pokemon that I can outspeed and hit hard.

Snorlax Adamant @ Leftovers
Body Slam
Rest
Sleep talk
Earthquake

My sp.def tank that can usually do some good damage to lots of pokemon. He takes hits and then pisses off everybody by going rest after all the damage he takes.

Heatran Modest @ Leftovers/Life Orb/Choice Scarf
Flamethrower
Earth Power
Hidden power (Ice)
Explosion

Simple Heatran, flamethrower for stab, earth power, for other fires, Hidden power ice for dragons and explosion just to piss some people off.

So yeah, theres my team, I probably should not have told everyone on Shaychu about it but you know w/e I guess xD. So yeah rate it 1-10 and what to remove.

SR a sin leads are for n00b muffins IMO. You help yourself just so a Pokemon can Rapid Spin your entire a sin to the seventh layer of China. Get rid of Aero, or at least have it so it doesn't turn into a nub after it uses SR. There are many leads out there to choose from, but I'd recommend Lucario as your lead, and give it SD rather than Blaze Kick. And then have another SRer somewhere instead of Aero. Because your team has a huge Fighting weakness, I'd recommend Gliscor for this role. SR, SD and 2 attacks mean you can get your precious SR up, then come back later to SD and then possibly KO a Pokemon or two.

You claim that if the opponent sends in Blissey, you can use Trick and mess them up with Espeon. But if you're using an attack while they switch in Blissey, you won't be able to because you'd be locked into the attack you used, unless you had a moment of epic prediction where you used Trick when the switched to Blissey. I would switch Espeon with a Gengar that does the same role as Espeon, but dump that notion of Tricking when you have already chosen a move. Gengar serves as a spin blocker so that your precious SR isn't blown away to the heavens (you had no spin blockers when you had the SR a sin lead, either. :/), it gives you a more formidable sweeper compared to Espeon, and it gives you a switch-out to Fighting and Ground attacks, something that Snorlax, Heatran and Lucario would all highly appreciate.

You have some serious synergy problems as it is, and from what I see, no defined strategy. I would suggest dumping Lucario for a bulky Water-type, such as Slowbro or Suicune. Slowbro gives you a switch-out from nearly all of your Pokemon, and coupled with Gliscor and Gengar, give the team much more synergy and resistances. Slowbro can also act as a phazer by using utility move such as Toxic and Thunder Wave. If you don't like that, it serves as a decent CMer, but the synergy it offers is its keystone for your team.

As for strategy, I don't see where you are going with this team. It seems you want to set up SR, and then set-up and sweep the entire opponent's team depending on who they send out as their second Pokemon, while they have 4 other healthy Pokemon that could force you to switch-out, and have you setting up all over again. A strategy for your team is completely up to you, but you need one regardless.

Aerodactyl:EEhh Try Metagross as lead,Hes bulkiee and its easier for him to takes hits and set up

Snorlax:I would reccomend Curse over sleep talk.

Espeon:Trick is bad for him,Bad defence

Heatran:Scarf him,otherwise hes fine

Lucario:Replace blaze kick with Ice Punch/Crunch

Scizor:Get rid of roost for Quick Attack

Also 3 are weak to Fighting.

Overall 5/10 Needs Changes.

Hope your next RMT(Rate My Team)
goes well =D
