Short Lesson ~ Animating with Photoshop
to make an animation in photoshop, you must use the animation palette ((simple huh?))
in photoshop, click on window>animation to bring up the palette
from there, you can import an illustrator or other file to animate. i used an illustrator file here
you have to add the frames manually. i did it by moving the vector image around in illustrator then pasting it into photoshop on top of the previous frame but you can do it another way if that works better for you. an example would be duplicating a raster image and painting over it to make a new frame. just make sure the layers line perfectly, otherwise itll look chunky when the animation plays.
to save the animated gif, go to file>save for web and devices
itll bring up a window to let you optimize the image. you dont have to do this if you dont want to, it just knocks the file size down a bit for the finished gif.
click save when your finished and save it wherever you like
after all that, the finished image ^^
happy animating ;3

No, it isn't. It used to be, but now it's kind of complicated to get it free. (@Darkheart)

In more ways than one. It's extremely similar to Photoshop, except completely free.Espeon wrote:DarkHeart wrote:This is so cool, i want to try it! xD but.. idk how to download photoshop =S is it free, Espi?
