HeartGold SoulSilver Discoveries

Post different things you have discovered about the game and want to share with everyone else.

Here is one I discovered

Going to a Beach shore where the water is splashing on your feet with a Fire Pokemon in the shoreline as well, they hate that.

if you walk through the shower thing in kanto, (erikas gym) with a fire pokemon and then talk to them they will say something like "Soandso hated taking a shower!!"

Acid rain is still present in HGSS, meaning some form of coding that was used in Pokemon Platinum resides in both games.

Using a hex editor, and snooping around the game, I found 2 extra sprites programmed in the game that shouldn't be there. No idea what they are, though. Very interesting, though, IMO.

I have done my research. When you have any pokemon following you and you are a male trainer, there appears to be a tiny white line when you shift from trainer to your pokemon in battle. This does not occur if you are a female. -I have confirmed this with 2 different Soulsilver games and youtube videos. Male Trainers, I'd like to know if your Game does that.

Also, I have discovered that when Pokemon Center Link Battle, There is no clicking sound as you select your next move. Again confirmed with 2 soulsilvers.

There it is. This is for the Japanese version of HeartGold, not sure if it's in the same place as in the English one. I THINK that the ID at the bottom is in decimal notation, so I'm gonna toy around a bit to see what comes up in a .pkm file with that ID set, although I for some reason doubt it'll do anything.

Magikarp's are better

There appears to be a 3d glitch in soulsilver. When you are in the vermellion port, around the black borders seems to be water.

I discovered something which got me annoyed, in Heart Gold my cynderquil never got to learn Ember, according to Bulbapedia he is meant to learn it at LVL 10 and its his 3rd move, which is weird why he never learnt it because wen u have a blank spot in your moves the next move is automattically learned
