Watch the whole thing through. the beginning didn't convince me, but about half way through I was like 'this could make a lot of sense' so yeah. 0_0

The first thing I thought was: god Marriland sounds like a classic nerdy white American boy. That's not a complaint, just an observation.

I'd like this to be true, because that would be AWESOME. Honestly, though, I think he's just looking too much into it.

His main points are from dialogue in the game, X and Y's guidebook (which could very well just be a simple oversight on the editor's part), unconfirmed rumors involving Zygarde (well, every rumor about Zygarde is unconfirmed but still) and the lack of Pokemon, none of which actually prove or disprove anything. So it's a nice theory, but mostly unsubstantiated. (edit: I don't know if that's the word I'm looking for but it sounds fitting so I'll just leave it in)

As I said, I'd definitely like to have the "Perpetual Generation" be a thing, but I don't see it actually happening.

(edit: Also I had no idea that Xerneas's eyes are X-shaped. That's SO COOL. Why doesn't Yveltal have Y-shaped pupils? D:)

The in game dialogue didn't really convince me but when he mentioned that line in the manual and how you can't get like 14 berries and need to trade them from other regions and you CAN'T trade items over through the poke-bank made sense to me. Mind you, whether this means we'll be getting a new region in a 6th gen game or just a new region + 7th gen is unclear... I mean, if it's a new region with new pokemon then it should be considered 7th gen anyways. Maybe it just means that future generations of pokemon games will be backwards compatible (no more migrating or pal park) .. kind of like D/P/Pt and HG SS were.

I'm half convinced but what's not to say you'll get the items through the PGL? They still lack attractions and they might add more buyable stuff later on as well. I'd like to believe it but it's still way too soon to determine anything, even if they already had some 7th gen stuff said already despite the games being out for less than a month.
