Mega Evolutions Hopefuls

MEGAS WE KNOW SO FARtoo lazy to name them all out here
So I thought the pattern with mega's in the beginning was 'pokemon that people have really liked/ been popular' and that seems to show, since they and everyone can't get enough of Mega Charizard X- but it's seeming to be true for most of them. Gyrados, Alakazam, Mewtwo, Scozor, Gardchomp- everyone's been eating them up. Some lesser popular got mega's aswell but still. I thought they were going for the 'more popular' pokemon.
I guess I'm getting at that because I'm sad there hasn't been an Arcanine mega yet- LIKE C'MON let's talk about how much people love arcanine, but his stats and movepool just aren't the best in the world and it makes me sad :<
But this isn't about that- they still have a lot more mega's to announce- SO which pokemon would you like to see as a mega OR which one's do you think have an actual good chance of getting a mega?

Azumarill - cus add it on to the cute mega's and also much used, would get even better!
Floatzel- I just want it to happen. make it happen, gamefreak.
Chandelure- just cus. cool fire chandelier.. make it like one of those giant crystal chandeleiers..?? or a very freaky huge haunted house chandelier! speed reduction though in that case >_>
Claydol- because yeah do it. he's cool, bulky and slightly overlooked. make him better.
Crawdaunt- do it! he's already good but so was Garchomp so do it
Toxicroak- yes. this would be yes. yes. I always thought he was awesome but I need more of a reason to use him so do it.
Drifblim- YES YES I approve
Archeops- I just wanna see it done

Nidoking/ Nidoqueen

Noctowl- like THE ONLY owl pokemon- make him good!!

Swellow- I always thought swellow was so cool but his friggin stats are kind of tardar- give him a mega plzzz

Tropius- SOMEONE NEEDS TO SHOW THIS GUY SOME LOVE. SERIOUSLY.

Seriously, though, I agree with maybe half of this list, and then the other half is kind of just "sure, why not". The only exceptions are Chandelure and Starmie, because they're already really really good, they don't really need the buff.

I agree with you on your list, but most of all, it would be awesome if Kecleon got a mega!

smeargle needs something. a mega, an evolution, anything. its been totally ignored since it was introduced in gen 2

Smeargle's actually a really good Pokemon as it is, even if its stats say otherwise. Its variability is nearly unmatched thanks to its gimmick, and it has one fantastic ability in Technician, one competitively-viable ability in Own Tempo, and one completely broken ability in Moody. In the current metagame, it's one of the best set-up Pokemon in the game. Giving it an evolution or a Mega Evolution would both ruin its gimmick (since, like, what moves could you possibly add to a Pokemon designed to only use one move?) and raise the viability of using Smeargle even more. I'm actually fairly certain Smeargle having the worst stats of all non-evolving Pokemon is intentional, because if it were a stronger Pokemon it would probably be completely broken.
