Pokemon GO

Is anybody else playing Pokemon GO?  I got it the first day it came out and I've been addicted ever since.    Currently I'm level 25, on Team Instict, with 130 different Pokemon caught/seen, but I still don't have the final evolutions of the starters nor do I have my favorite generation 1 Pokemon Gengar.  Here is a cool website I found that shows all your Pokemon and stats: https://pogoprofiles.com and here's my profile: https://pogoprofiles.com/u/JacCkMcCabe ... I've been browsing the Pokemon GO SubReddit a lot as well.  From everything I've been reading, people seem to be very upset at the current state of the game as well as with Niantic's lack of communication.   I really hope they get the tracker fixed or stop blocking sites like PokeVision.  To be honest, I never used the tracker much the first few days it actually worked.  When PokeVision came out, I found that to be so much more useful even though it is somewhat cheating.  I believe the game will be fixed soon enough and will eventually be better than ever!  There is so much potential for this game, I hope it doesn't die out.  

It's amazing that Pokemon made this big of a comeback and this big of a cultural impact. When I first heard the game was coming out, (thanks to Alain aka AJ/Ash/Pikachu) I didn't think much of it.  I thought I would barely play and that nobody else would care that much about it, but boy was I wrong.  Literally everyone and their mothers are playing this game.  For once it's somewhat socially acceptable to talk about Pokemon.  Before this game, I wouldn't dare talk about Pokemon with a stranger.  Now all my time wasted playing Pokemon games and spending time on forums doesn't seem so bad! I have so much knowledge accumulated about Pokemon that I can use to my advantage lol.  I have been to so many new places that I never would have bothered going to.  I've been exploring so much of the outdoors by walking, running, skateboarding, and biking.  My childhood dream of catching Pokemon in real life has finally come true!

Pokemon Go is a lot like Ingress, which makes me happy, because I loved Ingress, even though having only two teams was a terrible idea (the Resistance had at least four times the member count of the Enlightened last I checked, and I was Enlightened all the way through :I)

I kind of expected this boom to happen, since Pokemon is a way more easily marketable idea than "real world hacking/controlling of major operation sectors" and Ingress was actually a lot of fun, but I don't think the boom will run dry until a major break in the game's code or just a severe lack of updates. Niantic basically has the alternate-reality-mobile-game market completely cornered, given their initial Google-based funding and huge amounts of experience, so other games that start similar to Pokemon Go will be at a severe disadvantage.

I recently downloaded Ingress because it was speculated that wherever there was a lot of XM in Ingress, there would be Pokemon spawning there in Pokemon GO due to the fact that the portals are almost always Pokestops or gyms. I joined the Resistance I think, but I deleted the app because I found an alternative to Pokevision lol.
