Viruses Suck.

My laptop has a virus. I probably won't be active again until December

I'll probably lose my mod status by then.

I'll still try and come on and check posts but I can't come on the cb. Contact me via PM if needed.

It doesn't necessarily mean that your computer is done for. Run a virus scan on it with some anti malware programs. You can find them online.

avast! Antivirus and MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware are software I use to clean my computer.
The best one is Kaspersky, if you're not afraid to pay money.

The virus deactivated my wifi chip or something.. I can't come on the Internet or copy and paste my files (tried to save some pics )

If you have an ethernet cord then download the antivirus things from there. Try to download the drivers for your specific computer. If that doesn't work, get a new WiFi reciever.
If you have a Mac, you're screwed.

reformate maybe the answer to your promblem.............takes 30-40 mins depending....andyou will be on n two days.....gotta love re-formating, i had a virus that killed; my game card, microsoft word, files, movies, ect......i re-formated everthing was okay.....so dont think DECEMEBERA you may be on soonerthan you think.......it doesnt take 4 months to fix a computer it takes about a week if your going to a shop......

Chrono.. There are no shops.. I live in the middle of frikin nowhere.. Literally o.o

If you still have the installation CD, you can go boot from it and wipe your computer. You'll lose all of your data, unfortunately. Also, it takes a while (around three or four hours for me, not so much for you probably). Then, you have to update your computer as many times as possible.
It's really hard. Personally, I suggest sending it to the manufacturing company to have them fix it, then send it back.

My cousin is an IT person at Wake Med (Big hospital in NC).
He offered to fix it. I may be back by the end of september. (:

We all hate viruses. Sucks for you...You'll probably get your mod status back if it gets taken away. I mean it's not your fault that you got the virus.

Justin,i feel sorry for you,my computer had a Trogan but i caught it early. MalwareAntiBytes is a good program. My computer came with special re-formatting software, so whenever i get a virus i just re-format it o_o. I wish you the best of luck with this whole virus crap.
