Looking for an RPG Helper!

Okay, I am planning on making an RPG. But instead of just some kind of topic on a forum, I'll use Flash and actually make an RPG, like World Of Warcraft, Virtual Magic Kingdom (Rest In Peace ), Club Penguin, Toontown, Etc.

Now, this will be a LONG-TERM project, it will take dedication. You will have to be willing to work with me on Coding, Scripting, etc.

I would also appreciate even little helpers, like spriters!

JSYK, making an entire RPG takes a LOT of time, a LOT of coding and a LOT of patience, as well as a lot of money. You'd need to learn at least a few coding languages, including Java. Not to dampen your spirits or anything, but you should understand the magnitude that making a real RPG will take. You'll also need a web hoster for if you do finish the RPG.

If you're serious with this, I can help out with HTML-making for the site when you get it (you'll need it), and help out with spriting (IDK Java yet, or even Perl. >.<)

I know the basic website languages, so I can help you there. I also partially learned C in school, and some Python in my spare time (still fail at it though). I want to learn ActionScript and Java; I've been meaning to for some time.
So, I reiterate: LET'S DO THIS.

ive seen so many projects like this run out of steam.....

im not much of a code person. i know some but not nearly enough to qualify as a 'programmer' nor be of much help in coding something like this.
i can help with the art elements though. spriting might be fun :3

i second this question. dyou have a plot or even a basic storyline in mind? setting? types of monsters/opponents to be encountered?

The RPG is about "The Lost Universe", where you travel to, and try to unravel the secrets of how it was created, the monsters that live on it, etc.

The battling system is to battle the various monsters than reside there.

But, it's not just simply battling, there is a more social element to it, making new friends, playing multiplayer mini-games, spending your "Money" (Haven't decided what to call the currency yet) at the shops to decorate your home, etc. etc. etc.

Cirrus, I realize it will take time and patience (and money), but I'm dedicated and willing! ;D. Sure, helping with the actual site (not the game, but you can if you want) would be great. I know HTML, some CSS, and like.. 2 Javascript codes XD, so it would help

Okay, I've decided NOT to make this into a BIG RPG.

I'm not quitting the idea.

I've just come to realize exactly how much money it will cost, and it's something I don't have.

However, I am able to make a simple (not really "Simple", but meh..) RPG using Forumotion.

The RPG will still be called the Lost Universe.

I will still need Spriters and Coders.

Instead of big things like Java, I just need the coders to know some HTML, CSS, And/Or JavaScript.

If you are still intrested in helping, I will PM you the link to the forum where the RPG Will eventually be located.
