The Gyms
I was thinking, that we could move all the gym threads to the archives and have each gym leader post their own gym thread so they can edit and change it whenever they please.
We could PM each of them what is needed for the thread.
And then they can add their rules, make the font different, add banners, and etc.
So what do you think?
We could PM each of them what is needed for the thread.
EX:
- Code:
Gym Leader: [b]Bibarel[/b]
Badge: [img]http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t122/300secondstomars/badges/badges2/20.png[/img]
Type: [color=#F8D030][b]Electric[/b][/color] [img]http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t122/300secondstomars/electric.png[/img]
Rules:
which looks like...
Gym Leader: Bibarel
Badge:
Type: Electric
Rules:
Gym Leader: Bibarel

Rules:
And then they can add their rules, make the font different, add banners, and etc.
So what do you think?

Re: The Gyms
I like this idea, it'll make editing a lot easier for the GLs. BTW, did we make any changes in the gym system itself? I vaguely remember there being a huge rage rant against how the gyms are set up oddly.

O.O Like how?
Re: The Gyms
Like the whole procedure on how to take leadership of gyms and the E4 and champions, and junk like that. Not sure if it's sorted out, but by your answer, I'm presuming it's not.....
Re: The Gyms
It sounds like a good idea Shay.
I remember that Cirrus. I think the problem was that anyone could take over any type gym with a different type to the one they wanted to take over or something. Maybe make it so you can only challenge a leader with a team of the same type.

A: You need to find an open gym in the Gym Forum. If there is one listed, you should post in it to show your interest in gaining leadership. After that, you need to find one of the administrators to try out your selected mono-type gym team.
You may also get a gym by challenging one of the leaders. The battle would be as if you were trying out: mono-team of that type and one wildcard against the leader's team. If you win, you can then change the gym's rules, badge, and/or type. If you lose, you must wait 24 hours to try again. If the leader does not respond to the challenge within 7 days, you get the gym by default.
tis my solution as written in the qna thread i made, makes sense to me and its how i thought the system was set up already. ive been wrong before however <<
Re: The Gyms
ONE battle for a gym, to me, isn't enough. Hax is an evil force that shouldn't be given the glorious opportunity to decide who the gym leaders are. IMO a best out of 3 or best out of 5 style of determination would be better. It doesn't matter how good or bad a gym leader is, if hax goes their way, they will very likely win.

Both of you will battle with your mono-type Gym Teams, for the first battle. On the second battle, you will each battle with your regular teams. Or vise-versa. If the challenger beats the leader, Gym Leadership is then passed on to them. Once you are the new gym leader, you may change the rules, type, and/or the badge. If there is a tie (The leader wins one battle and the challenger wins the other). Then you may battle again for the tiebreaker using either of the teams that you both decide on.
