POKEMON SUN AND POKEMON MOON!! (NINTENDO DIRECT 02/26/16)
So, first of all, disclaimer, I know no one comes on this site anymore. But hey, I'm not doing anything right now, so I'm just gonna keep all of the nobody's up to date. And also I got some pretty good screenshots, so I'm proud of myself and have no where else to share them.
So there was a Nintendo Direct this fine morning of February 2nd 2016. I watched it. I cried a little. All is well, because Pokemon announced some new games! (Which I did.. hear about briefly yesterday when the whole.. thing came out that the titles were trademarked in the UK or whatever.. so I knew, as many did, but it was nice to get that confirmation, obviously)
*insert racist japanese-to-english accent*

CATCH EM DURING THE HOLIDAYS OF 2016!! and here I didn't want to have to leave the safety of my own home during the wretched holidays.. mind you.. I could just pre-order it online.. which is what I'll do... because I never have time to go 'shopping' in person
AND here are those screenshots I promised! I only took them of the new stuff because honestly there's no need for.. non new stuff screenshots here, alright.

Pictures, I mean.- Spoiler:
What looks like a new design for pokemon centers! Note the window design on the side- it's looking especially japanese inspired
This one seems to be.. maybe alluding to you being in a truck with a bunch of your pokemon in the back? I don't even have an idea about what purpose this could serve... Looks like there's Machamp, Wobbuffet, a Furfrou... and Blastoise in that bottom one. Also, there's that bottom right one that looks like.. honestly, a sort of ambulance. Why..? And hey, look, a wingull!
This one's difficult, but I included it just in case anyone wants to try and make sense of the blurry picture on the desktop in the background
Now THIS ONE is cool. There's a larger picture of the one on the far right below this screenshot (note the palm tree, though), but there are a couple other little pics/ models on the left that are worth a look.
- The top left is a building, but it has that yellow truck outside of it? I don't know how much I'm liking this truck thing, but whatever. We'll just have to see.
- The one below it (is partially blocked by some dude's sweater) looks like the exterior of something. It may just LOOK dark, but to me it seems like.. a dark building. maybe a sort of haunted mansion. You know it's an exterior because there are some cute little clouds~~
- The top middle shows two interiors. Could be models of pretty much anything. After looking more closely though you can see that it's actually the exact same room. The thing in the top right corner of the picture just changes colour (from lime ish green to blue.... with a tad bit of yellow. Maybe it's a curtain? Anyway, I think this is probably a building you can find in one of the cities. Doesn't look like a generic home to me. The wall opposite us, with the curtain(?) thing actually has a large glass arched window. Seems like something you'd find in a store. And there's a cute little red couch!
- Now the bottom middle picture. It's hard to make much sense of the different things going on in the various models. But anyways, these are clearly interiors of buildings. I wonder what that blue thing in the corner is.. a fish tank, maybe? idk. I can't make too much sense of these little pictures, because they're so small
And lastly, the one on the far right. The big one! We got a special extra shot of this one. There's a lot that could be said about this picture
- clearly a part of a town or something. It just occurred to me, actually, that this is probably a water gym. Take note of the Spheal, Staryu and Chinchou stencils on the building. Also, the abundance of pokeball designs... everywhere.
- the people on the side- the models look really nice.
- note, that character in red could be our protagonist. Looks like we may be going.. retro.. with our clothes. That's giving me a very strong 'red' vibe. Just thinking, but it'd be kinda NEAT if they brought back the red blue yellow characters, and just threw them in a new region.
- very nice fountain~
- other than that, not too much else to say about this, except for one last comment- the archway and the cobblestone look on the ground are giving me a european feel. So I think we could be seeing another european inspired region here.... Except, a part of the pokemon center design looked a bit like a japanese screen? The window part. AND in the previous picture (this one) from above, You can see a palm tree. So.. I may be wrong? or just ignorant. I don't know if they do or don't have palm trees in Europe somewhere xD EDIT: I'm seeing word, on the reddits, that it could be spain inspired. Apparently the palm tree's and the european architecture make sense for that
And here's a few specifically for the few shots they showed of the model for a new bird pokemon!
And I did double check to make sure this wasnt just a fletchling or a starly/staravia or something. This model does not match any bird pokemon that exists!

I'm hoping for another firebird, because those are the best birds, and the coloration so far looks like it'll be likely.
I was saying the buildings looked Italian; a friend of mine (I don't actually remember which one, lol) said it looked more Spanish. I'm not an architect in the least, and I really don't have any sort of eye for the stuff, but I'm assuming any Japanese elements would be there simply because Pokemon's development team is most familiar with them.

I did see some stuff on it possibly being based on singapore? but yeah who knows. Also, heard some stuff about hawaii! What do you think?

The name Alola makes me want to stab something. It's like Alomomola, except that the fish is named after the mola mola, the ocean sunfish, and I don't even like that name to be honest, so Alola really stood no chance.
The confirmation that it is actually based off of Hawaii makes me hurt right in the culture. Truth be told, though, I'm excited for the game. I'm assuming the final type matchups are Grass/Flying, Fire/Dark, and Water/Psychic, though, which means that the type matchups are all kinds of messed up now.

I actually really like the sun lion. I thought it was fake at first and was disappointed that it wasn't real. Then I found it was real and I was overjoyed.

This is the first time in a long time where I actually liked both legendaries (the last one was Ruby and Sapphire).
I also like the sun lion but I have a tradition where I always get the second named game in the duo. I'm pretty sure I mentioned that somewhere before though
