Who will you pick for your starter in HG/SS?

Who will you pick as your starter for Heart Gold/Soul Silver?
Totodile? Cyndaquil? Chikorita?
I think I am going to pick Totodile. But, I might pick Cyndaquil.... or maybe even Chikorita.

Cyndaquil, best starter out of all generations.

i probably wont even get it but i pick chikorita

Cyndaquil i love it make myself a bankai 2 or bankai jr.

The problem with the starters is that they don't learn any bred moves, which makes it harder to use them in competitive battling. I'll probably go with Cyndaquil to make a sweeper Typhlosion. SubSeed Meganium is out of the question, as well as DD Feraligatr.

cirrus its in game, its all about lvs i pick random (close my eyes and hold down the right directional pad, or go left and right a few times, and then click A, and hopes i get a cool bean)

god its a pokemon game, not competive battling, why take it so ceriously T.T

cyndaquil will be my starter just like in my pokemon crystal game im ganna get it when i comes out well maybe but i will get it

I'm picking Totodile, because I'm getting Quilava and Bayleef in Pokemon Colosseum, so it won't matter who I pick.

I dont really care about my in game team so long as they have a decent nature and not horrid IVs in the few stats I need them good in. After the E4/Nat dex where I can start bringing over a team (or start to breed good ones which is pretty early in game) or even develop a GS team I wont mind them much.

I know people are saying Cyndaquil, but I'll warn you guys now. It only learns precious few good moves (Sp Attack is its good stat) to use, and has extreemly little type coverage. You'll need to get a secondary sweeper early on to cover it, or pray for a Hidden Power Dragon one (Dragon is only Resisted by Steels, which fire moves take care of).

Totodile is the new best starter for a fairly easy time. It learns great moves just on its own and plenty of them it can use with its Attack stat. Also has much better type coverage on its own. Of course it wont be able to surf in battle too well (and technically its the water type) but its definatly the shining starter so far.

Chika of course, since is extreemly defensive, means you need to get a powerhouse early and fast (else that first gym is going to hurt). She'll make a great cleric for status effect pokemon and alongside Miltank you may rarely need to hit a Pokemon Center and can keep your pokemon generally healthy on long adventures.

I think I'm getting all 3 (Planning on Preordering both, then when I order a flashcard, probably before the english game is released, I'll be getting a jap version early to dork around in)
Since Soul Silver will be my main I might go ahead with Cyndaquil or Totodile, depending on if Cynda can get a few moves or level bumps to get its sp moves earlier in the remakes. If not I'll go with Toto for the easy sweeper and not worry about getting a surfer^^
HeartGold gets Chikarita for the challenge, and flashcard gets the last guy.

totadile has always been my fav, so i'd pick him/her ^-^

Well... i just pick chikorita because meganium is very cute and perdy plus it has pretty dang good defenses along with some good attacks

i likes chikorita to follow me -^^-

also as i think back to all the times ive played through the games, i tend to pick either grass or water starters. since i dont really like totodile, personally ((do NOT flame me)), im going for chikorita :3

I still dont like Chimchar and its fart flame, but I gotta respect Infernape's power.

I still like going with all 3. Though I'm still not sure as to which starter on my main game. Cyndaquil or Totodile... hmmm
