I reject your reality, and substitute my own. 388 Speed + Serene Grace + STAB Air Slash in itself is quite broken. Not to mention from a 300+ Sp Atk power. I don't think I have to even really do calcs...

@ Bibarel, other than people who have absolutely NO life, and spend its entirety breeding all 31 IV'ed Pokemon Smogonites, not many people have the patience to breed an ENTIRE team of straight 31-IVed Pokemon, which is used in almost all battles. That in itself would mean the Pokemon is Pokesav'ed, so an extent of cheating is already in battles from that. Although the critical-hit AR code seriously blurs that Rotom line (oops, I didn't say that).

By the power of all that is logical, I command that Latias be sent to Uber. 350 Speed + Specs + natural defenses is quite broken. Sure, Weavile and Tyranitar can counter it, but Weavile also counters Darkrai, Sky Shaymin and Latios, and they're not OU. >.>

Are you aware how smogon's testing system works at all? They move pokemon from OU to UU, then re-test it there, and if it's too good for UU it gets moved up to BL. It'll just take months with the amount of test that they do. Cresselia clearly won't last in UU. It belongs in BL as opposed to OU.

Yes, but who's Smogonish idea was it to put Cresselia in the BL/UU tier in the first place? That's what I'd like to know. lol

But in the meantime, there are people abusing Cresselia in UU because Smogon was smart enough to publish it as a UU Pokemon. Because everyone listens to Smogon for some reason. They do have good strategy pages, but other than that, well....I'll stop there.

lets see how the other BL's do against Cresselia:

Abomasnow:
1) Sub up while it uses Calm Mind, Thunder Wave, Toxic, Reflect, or Light Screen. Then you can Leach Seed stall it.
2) SD while they set up. Abomasnow, wins the speed game, can 2 hit KO the Cresselia. Cresselia's Psychic, and even Hidden Power Fighting, can't KO Abomasnow in one hit, even with a Calm Mind. If you use both Calm Mind and Thunder Wave, to outspeed, You're already KO'd.

Crobat:
Hypnosis or Taunt both shut Cresselia down. With just one Nasty Plot you can two hit KO the Cresselia. Once you set up one of the three standard moves for Crobat, Cresselia is screwed over.

Gallade:
Once you get a Swords Dance up you can KO Cresselia in 2 hits. Cresselia can, at best, KO Gallade in three hits, even with 3 Calm Minds up. By the time you take to get three or more Calm Minds, Gallade will have had the turns to cripple, if not, KO Gallade.

Honchkrow:
Any Physical Set can KO Cresselia in two hits with Night Slash. Assuming your Nasty Plots can match Cresselia's Calm Minds, you win with the Special Set, in one to two hits.

Shaymin:
Another Seed staller. Cresselia's HP stat hates a Sub Seeder.

Staraptor:
A Choice Band Brave Bird or Double Edge can KO Cresselia in two hits. Other moves are an easy three hit KO. Assuming Cresselia has max Defence and HP.

Yanmega:
Probably the one BL who can't counter Cresselia well. Yanmega has earned his keep in BL with other reasons.

[Mercury]

Yanmega has Hypnosis, Bug Buzz (which has STAB) and also protect. I tihnk it can handle Cresselia okay, but it probably can't take it down if Hypnosis misses.

A Bug Buzz just on it's own is two hit KO, if you miss the Hypnosis and Cresselia gets off a Calm Mind, then your looking at three hits for a KO, and it gets worse from there, with just one option that is 60% now. So if you get the 60% and have two turns of sleep you beat Cresselia with Yanmega, if not, and it gets Calm Minds off...you'll need more turns for it to be asleep, plus you getting the 60% again. So Yanmega can KO a Cresselia as well...it just has the least options and the most luck to do it.
That said, Cresselia should find a good fit in BL.

Smogon said that Cresselia has no reliable recovery move. Its only was to recover is with Rest or Moonlight.Moonlight restores 1/2 you HP without any weather but when it is sunny it will restore you HP back to full health.BUT in sandstorm it will only recover 1/4 of your HP and with all those Tyranitars with their Sandstream Ability and STAB Crunchs on them, Cresselia cant do much to Tyranitar since Tyranitar gets a 1.5 boost from its Sandstorm.
