Contest Rules

These are the rules for official STANDARD Shaychu Contests. Members may create their own contests with different rules and guidelines.

Rules:
No hacked pokemon.
No items.
If you enter in a contest you will meet with the judge in a wi-fi trade to see if the pokemon you are using is legit or not.
Once he/she gives you the OK that your pokemon is not hacked, you are in that contest.
You cannot use the same pokemon that another person uses in that same contest.
Contest's may have a few of their own rules.

If these rules look confusing to you, just do what the judge says and you will be fine.


Round one:

This round is based on looks of your move/ball capsule.

You will only have 1 Pokemon in your party for Round One. Decorate a Ball Capsule and attach it to the Pokemon that you chose for the contest you entered in. After you do that you will have a 1v1 battle against a judge. The judge will use a very weak Pokemon. You will use your best-looking move on it for good points. The attack/move could be anything, whether its a move that does damage, a move that increases stats, a move that puts a status problem on the foe, and etc. REMEMBER, the move is for looks and not for power in this round.

• 1-5 points will be awarded on how your ball capsule looked.
• 1-5 points will be awarded on how your move looked.

The total points for this round is up to 10.

Only the top four contestants with the most points will move on.


Round Two:

This round is based on looks of your moves/two ball capsules and the strength of your two pokemon.

For this round you will have two pokemon in your team, both with NEW ball capsules. One of the pokemon must be the same EXACT one you used in the first round. You will have a lv 100 2v2 double battle against the judge, this time the judge will use two fairly strong pokemon and will go fairly hard on you. The moves you use in this round will be scored upon how they look, but you must beat the judge in order to score even more points. So your moves must be beautiful, yet powerful at the same time in order to score high.

• 1-5 points will be awarded for the ball capsule on one pokemon.
• 1-5 points will be awarded for the ball capsule on your other pokemon.
• 1-5 points will be awarded for how one of your pokemon's moves looked.
• 1-5 points will be awarded for how your other pokemon's moves looked.
• 5 points will be awarded if you end up beating the judge. If you lost against the judge, you will lose 3 points.

The total points for this round will be up to 25.

The top two people with the most points will move up on to the finals.


Round Three (finals):

This round is based on looks of your two moves/ball capsule, creative nickname, and the strength of your pokemon.

The first part of the third and final round, is just like the first one except you are using TWO moves instead of just one.

You will have another 1v1 battle with the judge using the same EXACT pokemon you used in Round One. He will use a weak pokemon again but it will be holding a focus sash so you will be able to use two moves. The pokemon must have a different ball capsule then Round One and Round Two. If your pokemon has a unique nickname it can score up to 5 points in this round, if it is not nicknamed it will not gain or lose any points (the name rater can be found in the bottom right corner of Eterna City next to the pokemart) After you finish the battle with the judge, you will now have a lv 100 1v1 battle against the other finnalist, the winner will earn 5 points. (the looks of your moves you use and the ball capsule don't apply here)

• 1-10 points will be awarded on how your ball capsule looked.
• 1-5 points will be awarded on how your move looked.
• 1-5 points will be awarded on how your second move looked.
• 1-5 points may be awarded depending how creative your nickname is.
• 5 points will be awarded if you beat the other finalist.

If your pokemon has a type disadvantage against the opponent's, get over it.

The total points for this round will be up to 30.

The person who ends up with the most points wins a prize and a ribbon!
