Which Type/ Pokemon should I playthrough with?

I just bought a recycled version of pokemon Y (yey for less expensive) (it also works perfectly so far- fingers crossed) But I haven't exactly started the game yet and I've decided I want to play through with a monotype team? just to mix things up. I was going to go with Fire Type but I wanna get you opinions (whoever feels like commenting or see's this) on what type I should play through with? I want something that will be a bit of a challenge but still do-able so types/ pokemon suggestions for that type with good coverage movepools are preferred

If no one comments too soon I'll probably just choose something... I'll add a poll in here too maybe so even if you don't wanna comment you can just choose one Also I'm only going to use pokemon found on the Kalos dex.. which makes sense. Just sayin cus yeah.

I want the type chosen within the next few days since im going on vacation on saturday and I want to be able to plan the team and get it ready before I go for the trip

Another note is that it might only be 4 monotype pokemon depending on the type/ 4 or 5/ so i can have some HM slaves on me aswell

Are there even enough Kalos-only Fire-types? I can only think of five off the top of my head. (Fennekin and Pyroar lines)

I'd pick Fire solely because of my obsession with it but if you make a Gym team out of it I'll fight you. I really will. I'll fly over to Canada and I'll fight you. No I'm kidding but yeah I'd pick Fire. Or Fairy. (I voted Fire)

Also congratulations on Pokemon Y! I should do that to get somebody's Pokemon X but I'm lazy and also out of money for the year.

yeah by kalos dex i meant only pokemon native to kalos so not exactly just new pokemon xD ( http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/List_of_Pok%C3%A9mon_by_Kalos_Pok%C3%A9dex_number ) the fire team I was thinking of was going to be Delphox, Charizard, Talonflame (even though they're the same type exactly.. i may not.. idk) Houndoom and Chandelure..?

Fairy.. maybe Azumarill, Gardevoir, Whimsicott and Sylveon or Mawile or Klefki.. . or maybe even snubbull/granbull... does anyone even use floette/ florges? idk if they're good

I don't know why but I read that as pokemon yellow instead of pokemon y. But you should use water types since they are in fact best types. Maybe normal type. Or maybe only normal/water types. Yes that would be good.

I voted for Dark! Cuz Dark types are sweet and weak to Fairies.
